Friday Finds!

Happy Friday! I wish we were heading into a nice warm weekend but it doesn't look like that's the case. The weather has been playing tricks on us in the south here lately. My poor 2 year old doesn't understand how we can be playing outside one day and it be to cold to go out the next! It doesn't make sense baby, I know... I've been doing a little online shopping lately since my girl has a sniffly nose and a cough. I don't want to get her out and about in the wind. Here's a few finds I've came across and wanted to share!
I requested and received a sample of this a few weeks ago and was immediately impressed. I knew once my little baggie sample was empty that I was going to pull the trigger and purchase it. It, in my opinion, smells so good and feels so smooth on your face. It leaves my skin soft and matte yet hydrated. I highly recommend trying this lotion out!
Renewed Hope in a Jar

I'm one of those lame girls who can fit into kids clothes. But let me tell you, it saves so much money if you are able to swing it! I am loving all the J.Crew dresses they have lately and some of them are on great sales right now. I love that their shipping is $5. A lot of times I find something on sale that I want on other sites, only to abandon my shopping cart at the site of an enormous shipping charge. $8 to mail me a shirt? I don't think so! I scored this cute number today for $36.50! I plan on wearing it as a tunic with jeans.

If you're looking to start potty training your little one soon, like me, this is a great deal on a cute little Froggy Potty from Target. Only $10 and free shipping if you use your red card!

GAP has the CUTEST new bags in right now. I am in love with this light grey cross-body. It's large enough for all the mommy stuff I tote around all day and it's also sleek enough for dressed up evenings. The light grey color will transition nicely into spring as well!

5 Warmer Weather Wants

The weather is getting warmer here in the south and summer is just around the corner! We have been practically living outside on our back porch lately and I am loving it. (Though my allergies are NOT loving it.. hello Claritin D). Warmer weather means new summer gear, right? Here's 5 things that are on my wish list right now to get this summer time party started!

Vineyard Vines Rugby Stripe Hoodie.
I am IN LOVE with this. It also comes in a soft pink and a yellow. I am a sucker for a pullover, and love the nautical look of this.

Sperry Top-Sider Lacie Sandal.
Again with the nautical, I can't get enough. Sperry's are always so comfortable and durable. They literally last forever.

Lilly Pulitzer Daniella T-Shirt Dress.
The queen of casual summertime fashion. I must have this comfy dress! Dress it up or down depending on the occasion. Wouldn't this look great with those Sperrys?

GAP Colorblock Straw Tote.
This neutral summertime tote can carry all of your essentials to dinner or the beach.

Mally Beauty Face Defender.
Keeps your makeup fresh on summer days. This little wonder leaves your skin matte and primed so your makeup lasts longer. You can use it for touch ups during the day as well.

Friday Finds

I love Target. If you love Target as much as I do and don't have a RED card, get one! I save 5% on every purchase I make now. It comes right off the top. Another perk? FREE shipping from their website.
I snagged up this darling little zippered cover up for the lil bug for $3.80! Regularly $12! She will look super cute on our beach trip coming up.

I also got this sweet light weight stroller this past week when they put their strollers 25% off online. I got it for a little over $30. It's really nice and has some good little features. Is that a cup holder you ask? Why, yes it is!

I also ordered my FAVORITE mascara this week. I cannot live without this. NO clumps! I will never stray from this product again. I have not been able to find another mascara that can even come close to this one.

When I received my mascara in the mail it came with a free sample of BECCA Ever-Matte Primer. I am sold. I may have to go out this weekend and get me a tube of this miracle primer. I have super oily skin in my T zone. This has been the only product that I have ever used that came close to giving me an oil free day. Seriously, it is amazing.

The weather is really fall-ish today and I am loving every minute of it. I can't wait for the hubby to get home so we can enjoy some adult beverages out on the back porch! Happy Friday the 13th!!!

You can get with this...or you can get with that!

I love makeup. What girl doesn't? I have lusted after the Naked and Naked2 pallets since they came out, but at $50 a pop it just hasn't been in the cards for me.

Urban Decay has since came out with a smaller pallet called Naked Basics for a more reasonable $28, but it is a matte pallet.

That's when I stumbled upon this little charm. For $10.99, I got Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Nude Collection. I am in LOVE. It has definitely quenched my thirst for the Naked Pallet but at better than a quarter of the price!

Cleansing Routine.. for now at least :)

Since becoming pregnant, I've had to put some of my products on the back shelf due to certain ingredients that they say could potentially be less than ideal for the baby. I figure it's better to be safe than sorry so I've switched up my routine a little bit. I certainly didn't expect all of the extra fun skin issues I've encountered such as gulf sized oil slicks and teenage acne! Having to give up my good friends salicylic acid and retinols has not been easy, but I've found some pretty good stand ins for the next few months and wanted to share them. Click here for a list of product ingredients you may want to avoid during pregnancy.

As always, consult with your physician about product use or concerns!

  1. Cleanser: Bare Minerals Purifying Facial Cleanser
Gentle yet deep cleansing. A little goes a long way. I received a sample of this and loved it so much that I decided to buy.
  2. Toner: Bliss Daily Detoxifying Facial Toner
I bought this to try and rein in this acne! I love the way is feels and it is non drying.
  3. Moisturizer: Olay Complete All Day UV Skin Shield Moisturizer Lotion SPF 15
A slight change from my favorite Oil of Olay moisturizer that contains beta hydroxy acid
  4. Eye makeup remover: Almay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover Pads
Ok, so I've always used these but I love them so much I had to share. These premoistened pads work wonders at removing eye makeup at the end of the day. They are inexpensive and you can almost always find a coupon for them in the paper.
  5. Spot treatment: Zeno Hot Spot
These little babies work! Best part, NO chemicals at all. It uses heat to kill the bacteria and let me tell you, it does work like magic.
