Our Weekend

Since we do not host Thanksgiving at our house (we go to both parents houses over the holiday weekend), I decided we should beat the rush and go ahead and get our Christmas tree! We always get a real tree (a Frasier Fir) and my husband voiced concern about it making it till Christmas. I figure, all the Christmas trees are already cut so I think it will be fine.

Just in case, though, we purchased some preservative to add to the water.

I've never used anything like that, so I'm anxious to see how well it works.

I also whipped up some Holiday snack mix for the tree trimming festivities:
